Ann Savage Connective Touch Therapeutic Massage

About Me

imageAnn W. Savage, OTR/L, LMT, CPMT, is the founder, owner, and sole employee (at least for now!) of Connective Touch Therapeutic Massage in Baltimore, MD.  Originally from Virginia, Ann always knew she wanted to work with kids but could never have predicted what surprises that certainty would lead her to!

A minor in Education at Bryn Mawr College lead her to a Montessori assistant job in Washington, DC, and THAT led her to discovering Occupational Therapy.  Cue a Masters of OT from Boston University, a few forays into working with other populations, and then a dream job in Baltimore, MD, working at a nonpublic school for students with genetic and acquired physical disabilities such as Angelmans and cerebal palsy.  Working with those children, and discovering massage for her own care, led Ann to the next chapter of her career: massage therapy.  Ann graduated from the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore in 2015 and promptly earned a certification in pediatric massage therapy from Tina Allen, internationally renowned leader and expert in the field.  And that, we hope, has led her to you.

Ann is both a Maryland state Licensed Massage Therapist and a Maryland state licensed Occupationa Therapist.  She has experience with multiple diagnoses and populations through her OT work, including but not limited to CP, TBI and stroke survivors, autism, and assorted sensory processing disorders.  She has had training in numerous traditional and more holistic massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, reflexology, infant massage, massage for cancer patients, craniosacral therapy, and pediatric massage.  She brings her years of working with special needs to every appointment with a perspective that blends both evidence based science and an appreciation for the invisible forces in life.

Ann is in this field because she truly believes helping children and their caregivers is her calling.  It is her passion to ease what may be a difficult reality for these populations, and she cannot wait to see what therapeutic massage can do for you.
